Before you come: our advice

What should I bring to the consultation?

Your Carte Vitale (French national health insurance card), your mutuelle (supplementary health insurance) details, your current glasses (or contact lens boxes), your previous prescriptions and reports, and a list of your current medications.

Will my pupils be dilated? Can I drive afterwards?

Dilation is not systematic, but it is common for the fundus examination. It blurs near vision for 2 to 3 hours: plan not to drive and, if possible, come accompanied and bring sunglasses.

How long does a consultation last?

Allow 45 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes depending on the tests needed (refraction, OCT, visual field, fundus examination, etc.). The on-site diagnostic equipment spares you a second trip.

I'm coming for an emergency. What should I do?

Eye emergencies are seen the same day during opening hours, without an appointment. Call 01 85 10 57 00 or come to reception.
